home again

I can't decide whether or not I'm glad to be home. Don't get me wrong, I missed everyone here like mad, but coming home made me realise how much I really do love it over there. It didn't help that the weather when I got home was hot and muggy - eurgh.

I am seriously thinking about applying for jobs in the UK. I have to do what's right for me, regardless of what anyone else (ie. my mother) thinks, and regardless of how much I'll miss my friends and family.

I have all these great plans and ideas, but nothing ever comes of them. This time I'm serious.

There are really big spiders over here. Mark didn't believe me when I told him I was terrified of big spiders (after he told me he found one in the bath) - well, Dave can now attest to that, because there was one on the curtain this morning and I FREAKED. We're talking hyperventilating and everything. See, I don't mind little spiders. There's been one on the bathroom ceiling the whole time I've been here and it doesn't bother me in the least. It's the BIG HUGE ONES that freak me out. Dave tried to catch it with a paper towel and it got away and now it's somewhere in the flat, probably laying big fat spider babies that will eat my head while I sleep.
Also, I went to the National Gallery today. Woot. One thing I really do love is that all the museums and galleries in London are free. They never used to be, so it's quite nice to be able to entertain myself all day if possible for the price of a travelcard. I was starving by around 2-something so I went to this nice little cafe and had a jacket potato with cheese and beans. Mmm. And now I am here.
There are way more microbiology jobs over here than there are back home. Hmmm..
Tomorrow is when we're heading for the IOW...I can't wait! Also, a very good friend of mine is coming with us, which I'm pretty excited about.
I hate not knowing where that damn spider is.

lookit! it's a blog!

I figure this is a nice, easy way for everyone to be able to read all about my uber-exciting life. Hah.

I'm in London right now. Are you jealous? ;)
